Quit Smoking

There’s no doubt that smoking is bad for your health, but is it reason enough to give up smoking? The answer is a resounding ‘Yes’!  Being smoke free is one of the best things you can do for yourself, and quitting smoking (even after years of dependency) has to be the next item on your list. No doubt you understand the dangerous effects on your health from smoking that kick in the first time you inhale nicotine.  I am sure you know that the damage caused by cigarette smoking (active and passive) continue for the rest of your life.  You cannot turn back time but if you decide to quit now, you can lessen the effects from now on.
Recognising the damaging effects of smoking is probably one of the most compelling reasons to stop smoking.  Some people cite the potentially harmful effects of second-hand smoke on family and friends as the reason to stop smoking.  Both of these are certainly good reasons, but it has to be accompanied by a true desire to quit.  Otherwise, even the most tried stop smoking aids are unlikely to work.
So how can you quit smoking cigarettes after years of smoking? And is quitting smoking even worth the effort?  Most people find that quitting smoking is too difficult on their own. While it is possible to simply go ‘cold turkey and quit’, it has been proven that smoking has a strong chemical addition to nicotine and a strong psychological addiction because of the first meaning we ascribed to smoking in the first place.
Where there is a battle between the willpower to quit and the unconscious mind’s desire to continue smoking, the unconscious mind always wins.  That is the benefit of the Quit Smoking programme because hypnosis infiltrates the unconscious mind to re-programme the desire to smoke at a deep level.  If you have the desire, you have the will and if you engage your unconscious mind, you have the way – through hypnosis.
